Using Steam

Hosting your world on Steam has multiple upsides and downsides

Upsides Downsides
Free World is only hosted when the host is playing
Easy to setup and convenient Very unreliable, lots of crashes
Not optimized to run 50 mods

To install the modpack on your server, make first sure that you are hosting “Terraria tModLoader 1.4”, and start your server at least once to create all the necessary files. Once this is done, go to:

Files → .local → share → Terraria → tModloader → Mods

Now open the modpack folder where all the mods are

And drag all of the mods and the “enabled” json file to the “Mods” folder of your server
